About Long’s
Long’s Aircraft Service was established in 1994 in Coleman, Texas (COM). We are a family-owned business in which our two daughters as well as our grandchildren have been an important part.
Prior to owning our own business, I was employed by Coleman Warbird Museum where I learned the art of aircraft restoration. This opportunity, given to me by my mentor Bill Laws, is where I developed the love of building and providing aircraft repair for older aircrafts as well as most other aircrafts, such as PA-18 Piper Supercubs, Beechcraft T-34s, Cessnas, multi-engine aircraft, amphibious aircraft as well as numerous other makes and models.
One of the perks of owning your own aircraft service is doing what you love for a living. It has also afforded me the opportunity to learn and participate in formation flying. This has also broadened my knowledge of the requirements for safe and proficient aircraft performance.
We are conveniently located in central Texas, in what we call “God’s Country”. Our moderate climate provides year round capabilities of flying, as well as the convenience of picking up and delivering customers’ aircrafts.
Not only do I, as owner of Long’s Aircraft Service, enjoy the aviation business, my employees also share the enthusiasm. Some are pilots themselves so they realize the importance of quality and efficient service for our customers. We have distinguished ourselves among aircraft maintenance companies and go to great lengths to show integrity and dependability in our service. We have certified technicians on staff that is IAs and APs.
Our maintenance shop, separate refinishing shop, and hanger storage comprise our complex. As the photos show, we like things to be neat and clean!
